NHL Playoffs: Bruins win Game 5 over Panthers, Oilers beat Canucks to even series

The Boston Bruins beat the Florida Panthers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Second Round on Tuesday at Amerant Bank Arena, winning with a score of 2-1 to stay alive in the series.

Jeremy Swayman had 28 saves, while Charlie McAvoy and Morgan Geekie scored for the Bruins, while Sam Reinhart scored for Florida, with Sergei Bobrovsky stopping 26 shots.

The Panthers lead the series 3-2; Game 6 will take place on Friday at Boston’s TD Garden.

The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Second Round at Rogers Place on Tuesday, to even the series at 2-2.

Evan Bouchard scored the go-ahead goal with 39 seconds left in the third period, with Leon Draisaitl earning goal and an assist and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scoring.

Game 5 will be at Vancouver on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.
